Rip out the battery by An anonymous customer Mine was dead out of the box, no lights, nothing, would not charge. I read a very helpful review on here that said removal of battery fixed the problem and now the thing works great. It opened up pretty easy with a flat putty knife and the battery wires I rocked back and forth until they gently snapped from the solder joints on the board. The battery pack is just taped to the other side of the cover, it carefully tore out. Now this thing works great! As long as it's plugged in to USB power (which I initially intended to do) just turn it on and pair and the sound is crystal clear, clearer than my other bluetooth 2.0 receiver. There is enough volume, no issues with noise or anything, I'm pretty fussy about audio quality and the audio sounds 95% pure to me. If your one of those audio people that needs spacesuit to listen to vinyl records of the beetles in a sound proof room, this might not meet your expectations but for the average person it's fine sound quality.
