Compaq Server USV in 19 Technik mit 3000 VA Leistung - ein 68 Kilo Brummerdie (alte) Compaq R3000 Hhat im Gegensatz zur etwa gleich großen und gleich schweren APC RMI 3000 vorne und hinten Gitter-Öffnungen, durch die ein besserer Luftstrom zu fließen scheint. Der Lüfter sitzt direkt vorne hinter dem Grill und bläst über die Elektronik und die Schalt- Wandler Kühlbleche und um den riesigen 3 KW Trafo herum hinten wieder raus. Die Akkus sind alle hinter einer Wand auf der linken Seite in einem Tragekorb / Austauschsystem untergebracht. Ob das jetzt besser ist als bei APC muß sich noch herausstellen. Bis jetzt macht alles einen recht vernünftigen (besser als bei APC-) Eindruck. Das Users Manual aus 1999 ist inzwischen als PDF verfügbar. Wir haben es vom deutschen HP Service im Sept. 2005 bekommen. Aufkleber auf soch einer UPSWir Kunden werden von den Herstellern scheinbar gezielt verwirrt. So heißt die obige USV bei Compaq R3000h und ist 3 HE hoch. Es gibt aber auch schon eine neuere R3000- XR, die etwas flacher ist (nur 2 HE vor allen Dingen ist sie vom RS232 Steuer- Anschluß völlig inkompatibel. Diese hier ist also NICHT die XR Version! Dort läuft ein anderes Protokoll. Mühsam hatten wir herausgefunden, daß diese USVs nicht von APC, sondern von Powerware stammen bzw. von Exide in Mexico hergestellt wurden. Bei Powerware gibt es ein PDF- Handbuch mit der Modell Nummer 5119 RM ( Rack Mount). Die Lansafe 5.x Software erkennt jedoch ein Modell Powerware 9390, das sonst nirgendwo aufgeführt war. Intern erkennt die Software eine UPS 3000 VA FW-038. So ist also das Verwirrspiel perfekt, zumal wir von Compaq keinerlei Handbuch- Informationen mehr gefunden hatten. Haben wir aber jetzt bekommen. Und wie wir inzwischen wissen, haben ganz viele andere (sogar Amerikaner) auch schon vergeblich nach Informationen über dieses Teil gesucht. Und wenn Sie kein passendes Kabel haben, stehen Sie.
